The first potato yield forecast Project: One season — one field

This time we went to our table potato field not only to assess the potential of the future harvest, but also to honestly show the challenges we faced this season.
We dug up bushes of the ALOUETTE, JOLENE, and RANOMI varieties, counted the number of marketable tubers, determined their weight, and estimated the potential yield. And, of course, we checked the “condition” of RANOMI variety.
We remind you: at the end of June, we noticed signs of phytotoxicity on this variety. Since then, we have been closely monitoring the plants and taking the necessary measures. In the video, we tell in detail how our team acted.
In the new issue:

  • We show what our three varieties look like today and estimate their potential yield.
  • We tell you what happened with RANOMI variety and how phytotoxicity expression itself.
  • We explain in detail what decisions the team made immediately after identifying the problem and what “first aid kit” they used to restore the plants.

In the project “ONE SEASON — ONE FIELD,” we show not only successes but also real challenges that farms face. We share our field cases so that each new season is a little easier for all of us.
